Hi James,

Interesting what we can find out if we simply read and study the Google webmaster tools information.  I don't use the robots.txt to block files but there may be many webmasters that do and this is good information for them to have.

Blessings,
Liz

LOL!  Sorry, I had to laugh reading about how you're writing in the kitchen with the cat just about to jump on the table and people trying to talk to you at the same time.  That sounds so familiar!

Anyway, believing in yourself and having confidence is HUGE.  But like you say, it's not achieved simply by osmosis, you have to start with removing doubt and fear and having a good self image. Once you have those things you must just keep going never letting discouragement get the best of you. It's hard work but so worth it.

Hey Brian,

Nice post!

But let me add that we all know the customer isn't always right. Customers can take advantage and be extremely hard to please.  But as business owners it's good business practice to allow the customer to feel they are right.

If you have a good product most customers will be happy.   For the few customers that don't find your product of value and want a refund, I say give it to them. Why argue.  Put your effort towards pleasing your valued customers.

Nice post Amrik,

Blogging can be an awesome way to make money online but from my experience I'd say it's super important to make sure you can write well.  That means offer content that is easy to read, offers usable information and gives your readers a reason to return to your blog.

That all actually starts with understanding who your audience is and who you're writing for.  If you understand who they are, what they want, their problems, their concerns and their needs, it will be easy to provide great content.

Hi Jack,

This says a lot about how Google is evolving.  We never use to think of SEO as including the social side of things.

As far as Google is concerned it really makes sense.  Google's goal is to deliver what their readers want, not what they want to give us, so it makes sense that they first examine what sites people prefer by examining a page's 'likes' re-tweets and mentions.

No longer can we optimize our pages for high ranking based on technical tweaks or optimization tricks. Rankings will come from how other users value your content.

Nice post.

Hi Susan,

You are so right!  Part of the new SEO technology is including social marketing.

Google no longer wants to deliver content they believe a reader wants to see, they want to deliver content that's voted by other readers as being the best content out there.  That means if your content is liked, shared, tweeted and retweeted, that's the content Google is paying attention to and that's what they'll deliver to its readers.

Nice Post,
Liz :-)
