Good news! The graphic novel (starring yours truly) "Brielle and the Horror" that Loaded Barrel Studios has been working on is in it's last phase. Please help us any way you can, whether it be $10 or sharing the campaign with your friends. :)

PS If you're attending NYComicCon make sure you stop by our booth and say hi!

Added camera tracking and external loading of level data in today's edition. Starting to act like a real game now. I'll need to start doing some more actual world art, refactor collision handling into a new class or back to the engine class, and add NPCs! Fun stuff coming up.

Try this out. You can move him around with left, right, and space to jump. If you're on a mobile browser, controls should appear on the screen. It's a little rough, but it's progress!

No controls on Android tabs, I'm hearing. Curses! I've had nothing but problems with Mootool's Browser object, but it's probably because I'm always maintaining sites running the old version.

First pass at the game's protagonist, "Billy," in vector. Need to do a little more shading and adjust the outline weight for a usable small version.

Now you can jump around on platforms. Collision testing = not too bad. Collision handling = me struggle.

Here's an enemy in vector. The basic, nuisance woodland creature of charleston. Included the stomped version after it's killed, but it'll take some more line work to make it look good in its final, usable version.

Neat! It's the way of the future. The way of the future. The way of the future.

You know, I've been using HTML5/CSS3 for awhile now, but I know very little about the things that make it powerful (canvas, etc.). Good to know somebody out there is learning this stuff. I should probably get on that.

Thinking about doing a HTML5 side-scroller based on life here in Ravenel. Here's a rough concept of level 1 scenery. The trailer looks kinda like a spaceship. I'd do everything vector like paper mario for the final art.
