Camping trip on the Gunflint trail near Minnesota-Canada border. It was cold but sunny most of the time. On Sunday morning it snowed a couple of inches.

Now that snow has hit here in central MN it is time to start planning some camping trips. If anybody is looking for a nice camp mattress here is a really nice one with a R-Value of 3.2. I have only used self-inflating, but this looks intriguing.

Some nice tips. Nothing new for the more experienced, but good for newer people.

Not very useful but interesting anyway. Skip the battery and charge directly and we have a winner. Charge your phone while heating up coffee/hot cocoa.  http://gizmodo.com/5988305/biolite-campstove-charges-your-phone-and-warms-your-tush-by-burning-twigs
