The pictures of Ella's pizzas that I'm seeing online are so beautiful. Our pizzas didn't really look like that. The toppings weren't as plentiful or vibrant, and the pizzas were specifically lacking in cheese. Finally, the crust just wasn't that delicious! Wood-fired pizzas have this incredible crust... and this was just kind of there. Perhaps Ella's had an off night? With that said, I did enjoy the appetizer we shared--essentially some fancy mozzarella sticks. And, the overall meal wasn't too expensive. We didn't get drinks or a dessert, but were in and out for a little over $20pp.

Love the thin crust pizza and I always come here with friends for my TGIF. Very fun and lively atmosphere with people ready to have fun.

first time; came with a friend. Disappointed. Appetizer featured unevenly cooked beef . Very noisy; we were there at the very beginning on the dinner hour; by the time we left, there was a line for tables ( and this was a weekday) and the noise was deafening. Obviously other people like Ella's, , but there are a lot other choices quite nearby, and i'll try the others before returning.

They made a special vegan pizza off menu just for us! Great customer service!

Food was very delicious. We ordered the meatball spaghetti which was very tasteful and the penne pasta with chicken and pesto. Also very nice and filling. At first we had a mushroom soup which was also very nice and taste very nice! Good taste for a good price. Restaurant is near the subway station 'Galleries'. The restaurant contains a bar so it was a bit noisy. But the taste of food made it feel less annoying. The waiter was a very kind person and did help us well.

The food it's as good as I remembered. It was happy hour and our waiter was swamped, but the food came quickly and was delicious. I highly recommend the penne pasta

Ella's is a go to place to bring out of town friends. I lived in Rome for a while, and Ella's pizza is the closest to authentic Rome-style pizza I've had in DC. My favorite is the norcia. Ella's also has a great happy hour ($4 house wines and $6 7 inch pizzas.) Definitely a great deal.
