This past fall my short story, Winds On Indian Mound, came out as part of the anthology, Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep -Ten Supernatural Bedtime Stories.

Winds On Indian Mound is based on a true paranormal event that I experienced in Indian Mound, Tennessee years ago.

They said, "Write what you know."

So I wrote about hard times, fast horses, and bad cowboys.

Discover the story behind the book inspired by the tornadoes in Moore, Oklahoma…

“…I loved this book. I could tell the author knew what she was writing about--horses, ranching--and I'd venture to guess that she may have been closer to a tornado than I'd want to be!There was so much substance and reality in the storyline. The "hero" was such a nice man, the heroine fiesty and strong. There was just enough romance and sex to keep it interesting, but it wasn't the main theme of the book and you didn't find it on every other page. There were gritty times, unsavory charactors, also a charactor who had two sons and while I didn't like some of the things he did, I liked him as a parent. There was betrayal, and loving support. In many ways the conclusion was bittersweet, but fitting to the story line.”
