Hi there. I am continuing my research on coaching and integrating technology for my dissertation research. I really need assistance from fellow NJ educators in order to do this with fidelity and validity. Please help me by sharing some basic info about your district. Thank you!

Hi all. Quick question. We're looking to use GoAnimate. Anyone else using this for students under 13? Their privacy policy states,

"This Site is not intended for children under the age of 13. GoAnimate does not target its Services or this Site to children under 13. GoAnimate does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13."

We are not letting our Ss under 13 use it. As opposed to wevideo that states in their privacy policy,

"the Services are not intended for use if you are under 13 years of age unless you have the consent of your parent or legal guardian or when available use the application as a Guest User. As a Guest User the application can be used without providing any Personal Information. Guest User mode is only available in some of the applications and is designed to allow usage of the application without providing any Personal Information. If you are not over 13 years of age and are not using the application as a Guest User, you will need to have the consent of your parent or guardian."

We have a form that parents can sign that allow us to act as parents. Thoughts?

Hi all,
Looking for schools that have designated Technology Integration Specialists or Technology Coaches. Basically, any school that has a staff dedicated to helping teachers integrate technology into their instruction would help me. Can you please let me know the name of your District please if you have this type of staff? Thanks.

Calling all Tech Integrators, Coaches, Media Specialists, and Tech Directors in the Northern NJ Area. The topic for the May 20 NJECC meeting at Montclair State is "Student Privacy and Copyright" I am looking for presenters to talk about how your schools manage student privacy as it relates to what app, websites, etc you let students use for learning, assessing, etc.  I am also looking for presenters to share what you teach your students on how to deal with copyright in relation to the works they create. This is a great opportunity to share what you are doing, learn from other NJ educators, and bring back ideas to your own district. Please contact me directly if you are interested in presenting! NJECC membership preferred but not required to present.  My email is mmitchell@frsd.k2.nj.us. Thanks!
