We have a largely materialistic lifestyle characterized by a materialistic culture. However, this only provides us with temporary, sensory satisfaction, whereas long-term satisfaction is based not on the senses but on the mind. That’s where real tranquility is to be found. And peace of mind turns out to be a significant factor in our physical health too.

Please be careful in the mountains.

FYI: There are a number of Bushfires in the Blue Mountains and surrounds.

There are a number of road closures and evacuations in place.

At least one property has been confirmed as lost. At least 7 fire fighters have been admitted to hospital for smoke inhalation or burns.

Smoke is headed east over Sydney's west, and towards the CBD.

Warm greetings,

the Centre has now officially opened a new bank account known as the "School Building Fund" account. Its sole purpose is to collect donations directed solely towards our future purchasing of a property and/or ongoing maintenance/renovations of those owned buildings.

This specific use of the Fund is in accordance with Australian Law and the Fund will be managed by a committee separate to the current
Kunsang Yeshe Executive Committee members.

The members of the  Building Fund committee will be announced in coming weeks. In the meantime, the bank account is now operational for your generous donation towards the Centre's vision of owning a residential retreat centre in the Blue Mountains. Every dollar counts.

We do not yet have Deductible Gift Recipient status which allows your donations to be tax-deductible. We're working on that application with Australian Tax Office. You may be eligible to claim your donations through your own annual tax submissions. Check it out.

*Make your donation today to "School Building Fund" Bendigo Bank
BSB: 633-000 Account: 150170496. Enjoy the merit and delight in knowing you're an integral member in creating the Centre's Dharma Vision for the future, realising a residential retreat centre for the benefit of all.

To be contented human beings we need trust and friendship, which tends to develop much better once we realise that all beings have a right to happiness, just as we do. Taking others’ interests into account not only helps them, it also helps us. Warm-heartedness and concern for others are a part of human nature and are at the core of positive human values.

FPMT affiliated Buddhist Centre in the Blue Mountains
Introduction
Kunsang Yeshe Retreat Centre is a Tibetan Buddhist meditation and study centre located in the Blue Mountains, Australia. We are affiliated with the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT).

Our regular program activities include Buddhist teachings, meditation classes, weekend workshops and Puja’s (ritual practices). These are held in our beautiful meditation room (gompa) or in our library. In addition to our regular program we also host special events, such as talks and initiations by visiting Lamas, Geshes and teachers. For more details view our program.
