A place that only makes different types of mac and cheese? SIGN ME UP! Okay seriously, the food is pretty damn good. I'm a sucker for the hamburger mac and cheese, but the buffalo is good as well. Heck, all of them are good! The downside? It's cramped and usually packed in there so good luck trying to find a seat sometimes. Better off taking it to go and enjoying it somewhere else. Give it a shot, I don't think you'll regret it.

The macaroni here is the best in the entire city. As good as the food is, the staff and the service however, is equally horrible. The staff is uneducated & rude, the deliver guys want more tip, & the people on the phone will keep you waiting for 30 minutes, even if you haven't ordered. The service is the WORST. If you choose Smac, sit in and eat in the restaurant, but don't try to order out or try speaking to anyone.

If you love a casserole / lasagna meets Hamburger Helper mashup, this is the place for you. I enjoyed it, but I could see it not being everyone's cup of tea.

I couldn't resist ordering the "All American." With a description boasting, “Nostalgia at its finest – a tasty blend of American & Cheddar cheeses, just the way you remember it as a kid!,” who could resist?! I opted for the gluten-free Mongo size with broccoli and roasted tomato add-in’s... because that’s how I roll. Head's up for commuters: I did not know at the time that Mongo meant like, forty-four thousand servings, and they would not have a bag to contain this size box. I took the subway home carefully balancing a massive, piping-hot pizza-style box on my lap. Anyway, once I made it home safely, s'mac in tact, I got maybe half-way through the dish before I tapped out. The Mongo literally lasted me three days– not to mention three long workouts. I don’t know what the wizards over at the S’Mac kitchen are doing, but they deserve a culinary Oscar for this one. The pasta itself is decidedly undainty — every macaroni is thick and hearty; substantial messengers for the melt-y, burnt-in-the-right places cheese sauce. And that sauce! That sauce is the love child of american and cheddar. The kind of love they write poems about. While I will probably opt for a smaller size next time, mostly so I can get home without clinging to a cardboard box for life, I will definitely be making this a regular in my GF rotation. My only problem is deciding which Mac to try next... Bonus GF points: The restaurant is only a block from Tu’Lu’s Gluten Free Bakery, so you better be planning on dessert!

Went to the Murry Hill location. Ordered the 4-Cheese ( w/slab bacon), the Buffalo Chicken and the Cajun. Could not be more impressed. My family is BIG on Mac and Cheese and they loved all three. My favorite was the Cajun but my kids loved the Buffalo. The slab bacon in the 4-cheese really made it. So glad we tried it. Just a note, we brought them home and baked them at home "Take and Bake". Came out great. Looking forward to trying more on the menu.

I absolutely love this place. The food, the concept, the execution, the service, is all amazing. If you haven't tried this place you're definitely missing out.
