I needed to get a vaccine recently and swung by there close to closing time. I got the impression I was imposing upon the guy at the front desk (while he fiddled with his iPhone) when I came in. When we presented our insurance we were advised that a previous person's insurance didn't cover vaccination, but I asked them to run my insurance regardless. Turns out that the real issue was that they didn't take insurance for vaccinations and wanted $60 for the shot.

I left (after having filled out four forms) and happily went to the minute clinic at CVS. The happily took my insurance for this vaccine and a flu shot and the total out of pocket was $0.

I won't be returning to this place. With the proliferation of urgent care places in greater Annapolis I'll go somewhere else and get better price and service.

so the office air conditioning can't keep up with the heat and the only solution building guys could offer was closing the shades...so now it's dark, hot and humid in my office. #whine

We were very pleased with the hotel. I was a little concerned when I read some of the reviews while we were driving in, but none of the concerns panned out. Our room was on the 41st floor and had clearly been recently upgraded. The view was stunning and well worth what we paid for. Almost all the details in the room were in excellent shape, except that the door to the master bedroom stuck and wouldn't close completely, and the fireplace didn't light. Those were minor inconveniences. The pool was excellent, if a bit crowded. The jacuzzi in the room was a a welcome respite after a long drive. We'd definitely recommend staying there again.

This place wasn't terrible, but it was pretty close. A couple concerns I had: Hot water was lukewarm. Big stain on chair in my room. Quality of outfitting of the room was poor. Appliances were old. Key card took 10 tries to unlock the door every time. Dusting wasn't done thoroughly. Generally the whole hotel needed updating. I was there a Monday and Tuesday and the bar/restaurant was closed. I'd avoid this place. For what they're asking there have to be better offerings.

These folks were great. I needed two parts, and even though they don't do retail they came in on Sunday and helped me get what I needed. Even though they didn't have both parts in stock, they went out of their way to help me and were thoughtful and courteous. I was really pleased with their service.

This was a fine room. The room was clean, the linens were in good shape, and everything was comfortable. It was in what seemed like a decent area, the lobby had cont. breakfast in the morning, and everyone was nice. It exceeded my expectations for a <$100 hotel room on the busiest day of the year in Salisbury. If I return for the event I went to this year I will likely stay there again.

Here's the email I sent to them regarding my experience yesterday. I've been there a few times but yesterday was my last. -------------------- I wanted to send you a short note to say how extremely disappointed I was in the Father's Day brunch at your restaurant yesterday. Yesterday's service seriously calls in to question the ability of your staff to manage a restaurant. A couple of the issues I encountered yesterday. 1. The restaurant was extremely crowded. While this is to be expected on a day like Father's Day, I did not expect that tables would be placed to closely together that the person at the next table would bump into my chair every time she got up. That should have been the first indication that the manager was focusing on quantity over quality. 2. The line for the buffet was extremely long. Waits were in excess of 10 minutes to visit the buffet. When you're moving young children through in different shifts this ends up eating 20 minutes just to get to the buffet. You literally had people lined up onto the deck! You have a whole other floor to the restaurant. Why did you not run another set-up upstairs!! 3. My wait service was atrocious. Betsy's performance was unacceptable. I've waited tables in the past at restaurants in more chaotic locations than yours (right next to Symphony Hall in Boston - 8 tables all wanting their checks at precisely 7:45). Drink order were missed. When she did follow-up on drinks ordered, requests were forgotten about (cream not given with coffee and then I had to ask for it twice). I am guessing that your wait staff decided that your buffet service was such a disaster that regardless of what they did their tips were going to be sub-par that they might as well not bother to take care of their guests. 4. I know you turn alot of tables, but how on earth can you run out of plates? And when you got the plates out they were literally too hot to hold. Did you not realize that serving chocolate deserts on hot plates created a problem? 5. You significantly underestimated your buffet needs. The beef station was regularly understocked. Whipped cream and syrup were not at the waffle stand and chocolate covered strawberries were missing (a big disappointment to my 6 and 8 year olds). An just as an aside - take the salt shaker away from your chef - let the food speak for itself - the crab soup probably contained 5x my daily requirement of sodium. There is really no good reason for these kinds of failures. You're going to have alot of people at your restaurant on Easter, Mother's Day and Father's day. You should really plan on it. What bothers me more though than the bad service - I've eaten at more than my share of poorly run restaurants - is that my family took me out for a nice afternoon brunch, and I wanted to sit down with them and have a nice talk, enjoy each other's company and enjoy a nice meal and your restaurant ruined it. Your abysmal service meant that when 1/2 of my family wasn't waiting in line at the buffet they were being bumped by other patrons or just exhausted from the hassle that was eating at your restaurant yesterday. I was more stressed when I left than when I got there. I really should have just bailed when I got to the hostess stand and saw what a mess the place was. ------------------------------- UPDATE: The restaurant gave me a gift card to go back and try the place again. I went back this weekend and I will say that I definitely had a much better time. The cream of crab was less salty than I remembered and I really enjoyed the roast. It was a much less hectic day and we did not feel rushed at all. I would say that YellowFin is a good choice on a non-holiday weekend.
