アメリカで生まれて感謝している一つの事、食文化の多様性。
おかげで北米は食のイノベーションが起こりやすいし、ここ近年地元の伝統料理の魅力に目覚めた気がする。

いつもの空港へ、いつもの飲み物で。
On the way to Narita via Keisei Skyliner, I always have the same drink.

Cool that they showed buttons on Cardboard VR since it shares a lot in common with Cardboard's magnetic switch.  Both repurpose existing sensors in unintended ways to produce new interfaces.  Just brilliant.

In a battle of wits, Google Now bests Siri and Cortana

In a test of 3,086 queries used by +Stone Temple Consulting, Google Now returned the most enhanced results and fully answered the questions over Apple's and Microsoft's voice assistants. We all know that Google Now could use some work (Google Now location based reminders fail), but it's clear that Google out performs their competition by a landslide. The best part about Google's Knowledge Graph is that it keeps getting better and better as time progresses. I can't wait to see what they come up with next.

Surgeons are required every day to puncture human skin before procedures — with the risk of damaging what's on the other side. In a fascinating talk, find out how mechanical engineer Nikolai Begg is using physics to update an important medical device, called the trocar, and improve one of the most dangerous moments in many common surgeries.

I've been living in the states for 2 years and I still have no intuition for how hot those numbers are. Only when I convert to celsius do I go, oh that's hot.
