Thanks to Clare Johansen for sharing this picture from our Brighton Walkshop. I think it's one of the best shots of the old pier I have seen in a good while. What do you think?

Next Saturday, 12th August there is due to be a spectacular Perseid Meteor Shower. This could produce some amazing pictures.
There are lots of possibilities: the milky way; star trails; time-lapse and even moonlit landscape, The South Downs National Park was declared "international dark sky reserve" for the quality of its starry nights is on our doorstep and we'll meet at the peak closest to the stars - the dark-but-accessible Ditchling Beacon.
Photography is much more fun in a group of like-minded folks. Everyone seems to love the camaraderie, we can share tips and knowledge too and we've even had people say that night photography is much safer with a group looking out for you.
This event is free. We're happy to offer some basic tuition and advice plus very affordable equipment hire if you need it. Let's get shooting stars!
