The Carlos Museum is one of Atlanta's best kept secrets. Tucked away on the beautiful Emory University campus, the Carlos Museum frequently hosts some of the world's most coveted exhibits. There is ample guest parking available just across from the museum's main entrance. The adult admission fee is a mere $8 and audio guide rentals are only $2. The permanent collections are an astonishing sight. Do yourself a favor and stop by. I guarantee that you will be amazed at what is hidden away on Emory's campus.

A great museum. Impressive collections that I could visit again and again. Don't miss the mummies! There are often groupons for discounts off museum admission.

Amazing small but quality museum! Well curated diverse collections and amazing architecture of the museum building itself. The only downside is lack of dedicated parking and having to park in Emory University megagarage.

It was a good small museum (2 levels, 5 galleries) to spend an afternoon with my family. If you read/listen to all the info next to the artifacts, this museum can keep you entertained for around 3-4 hours. The galleries cover South America, Rome, Asia, Egypt/Middle East and Africa. When we visited today, they seemed to be expanding the the second level with some work in progress. All were good except the Africa one which was too small. Well worth for the small entry fees of 8 bucks. Groupon deal made it even cheaper. Parking was more expensive than entry fees with $9 for 4 hours!

Do not bring in a bag, or expect to have to check it. The rooms are small, and make me feel claustrophobic. The exhibits are pretty.
