That's an awesome watercolor, btw. I've studied visual arts and painting. It's not my forte, and I become frustrated with my wobbly results. I recognize and enjoy seeing good art.

There is ample evidence in sacred scripture that Peter was first in authority among the apostles. Christ made him the first leader of His Church. The leaders of Christ's Church later became known as the Pope.
There is ample evidence in the New Testament that Peter was first in authority among the apostles. Whenever they were named, Peter headed the list (Matt. 10:1-4, Mark 3:16-19, Luke 6:14-16, Acts 1:13); sometimes the apostles were referred to as "Peter and those who were with him" (Luke 9:32).

We aren't a football team, we are a body with one head who is Christ.

Even if you want to cast the Pope as the head, he could not live without the body, but the Catholic position (post Vat1) seems to be that the Pope is self-sufficient, which completely nullifies Paul's commentary in Corinthians, Ignatius Eucharistic definition of the body, and the centuries of practice within the Church.

Take for example, Second Council of Ephesus. It was rejected by the Church at large (and later councils) though those in attendance believed themselves sufficient to establish the faith. In this case, an entire council, not just a Pope, was show to be "incomplete" without the whole of the Church.

Until the Fifth Lateran Council (after 1500 years of Christian tradition) was the primacy of the Pope established according to modern convention. And even then it wasn't until 1870 (as I mentioned before) that the tree bore its completed fruit.

We are a body, not a football team.

I wonder if there are major surgical procedures other than abortion that are done in facilities that lack hospital grade equipment by doctors who aren't required to have hospital admitting privileges?
Two more rulings from the Supreme Court on Tuesday support clinics seeking to provide abortions over states trying to restrict them.

The Catholic Church is often referred to as the "Roman Catholic Church", but that doesn't mean the Church was founded in Rome. It was founded by Jesus Christ in Israel.

The Catholic faith teaches that sex is reserved for married male-female couples. This article has advice that can help dating couples resist the temptation to have sex before marriage.
In high school, all of us heard about saving sex for marriage. But the question that naturally arises is “How far is too far?” The problem is, this question assumes that acts of arousal are only more intense forms of affection, that se...

Always I have thought that a most reasonable reason for only having one sex-partner (your spouse) in life, was that after marriage there would be NO ONE to reflect back on...no one to thus compare your husband, and his intimate techniques, to.

New California legislation would allow biological males who identify as female to move into all-girl dormitories. Another case of the government using public funds as a battering ram against religious freedom.
Religious-based colleges and universities are faced with loss of public funds and legal action under a new bill that would turn many of their rules into acts of illegal discrimination.
