Protect the family. It is the cornerstone of society.

“The love of husband and wife is the force that welds society together. Men will take up arms and even sacrifice their lives for the sake of this love. St. Paul would not speak so earnestly about this subject without serious reason; why else would he say, “Wives, be subject to your husbands, as to the Lord?” Because when harmony prevails, the children are raised well, the household is kept in order, and neighbors, friends, and relatives praise the result. Great benefits, both of families and states, are thus produced. When it is otherwise, however, everything is thrown into confusion and turned upside-down.”

~St. John Chrysostom, Homily 20 on Ephesians

Contrary to popular opinion, Planned Parenthood facilities aren't the only facilities that offers health services for women. There are health centers that offer health services for women without offering services that kill their unborn children.
Congressional plans to strip Planned Parenthood of federal dollars have gained considerable media attention in recent weeks, leading to speculation about the impact that such a move would have on women’s health.

The Bible doesn't tell you what it means. You have to read it and interpret its meaning.

+deacon dave - Are you saying that anyone who follows those rules when they read the Bible are guaranteed to correctly understand the meaning of any passage of scripture?

I was looking in the official teachings of the Orthodox church the other day, and found out that they approve the use of contraception. That proves to me that they broke away from the Catholic Church, and not the other way around. Moral truths cannot and will not be changed by the Church Jesus founded.

+Bro. John-Paul Ignatius Mary
That’s only true of Protestant Christians. The Orthodox churches were started by Jesus Christ and have a valid Apostolic succession to prove it. Rome and the Orthodox churches are not in full communion with one another and the Pope as I shared above requires no conditions to return to full communion. According to the CDF, since the rupture in communion that, “Catholics share with the Orthodox the “the fullness of universality “of the Church is not yet realized”. The divisions Catholics and Orthodox share is a mutual wound according to Catholic teaching. According to  the Balamand Declaration (par. 13):   “On each side it is recognized that what Christ has entrusted to his Church - profession of apostolic faith, participation in the same sacraments, above all the one priesthood celebrating the one sacrifice of Christ, the apostolic succession of bishops - cannot be considered the exclusive property of one of our Churches". Rome has been very clear on the fact that the Orthodox churches are part of the Church that Jesus founded.

Jesus founded only one Church. It is the Church now known as the Catholic Church. If you want to know the fullness of truth, come home to the Catholic Church.

+Lynn Strickland By the way, the Catholic Douay-Rheims English Bible was published before the King James. In fact, the translators of the King James used the Douay-Rheims and the Latin Vulgate as references. Nevertheless, there were around 300 translation errors in the original edition of the King James. Most of these errors were corrected by various revisions over the centuries.

It's amazing that anyone would have to be told that an unborn child isn't one of its mother's body organs.

+deacon dave - How do you know that what a person says lines up with the Word? It lines up with whose interpretation of the Word?

If you're Catholic and a Protestant Christian tells you that the Bible doesn't need interpreting because its meaning is self-explanatory, ask them what Jesus meant in John 6:53 when he said that we must eat his flesh and drink his blood or we won't have his life. Then sit back and watch the interpreting begin.
