Faith and Reason have been powerful tools for me. Science has only made my faith stronger, and I have loved both since I was a kid. Science and faith are still a daily part of my life in my Engineering career, and for that I am thankful! Thank God for science!

I know there was a time when women used to wear head coverings when they attended Catholic Mass. I wonder if there has ever been Protestant churches where women wore head coverings during worship service?
The Head Covering Movement is a campaign that seeks to spark a return to the practice of head covering during corporate Christian worship. It is based upon 1 Corinthians 11:2-16 in the Bible. Visit to study & discuss this topic with us.

"[The same-sex marriage] debate, at its core, is about one thing. It’s about children."

Dear Justice Kennedy, June is nigh, and with it will comes your ruling on the most contentious political issue of our time: marriage. I write because I am one of many children with gay parents who believe we should protect marriage. I believe you were right when, during the Proposition 8 deliberations, you said “the …

I love bonsai trees.
Bonsai tree

Bonsai" is a Japanese pronunciation of the earlier Chinese term penzai. A "bon" is a tray-like pot typically used in bonsai culture.[2] The word bonsai is often used in English as an umbrella term for all miniature trees in containers or pots. This article focuses on bonsai as defined in the Japanese tradition.

The purposes of bonsai are primarily contemplation (for the viewer) and the pleasant exercise of effort and ingenuity (for the grower).[3] By contrast with other plant cultivation practices, bonsai is not intended for production of food, for medicine, or for creating landscapes. Instead, bonsai practice focuses on long-term cultivation and shaping of one or more small trees growing in a container.

If you think that you can listen to Christ without listening to the Church, think again.
You CAN'T separate Christ from the church ☝

+Dαn J - What you're saying sounds really good in theory, but it doesn't work out very well in practice. You're right when you say that Jesus is the truth, but the truths of Jesus are communicated to us through not only the Bible but through sacred tradition as well. Both of these are communicated through the authoritative church that Jesus founded. Without an authority to guide us, there is doctrinal chaos, which is what you see in Protestant and so-called non-denominational Christianity. The Church isn't a building, Dan, at least not the true Church. It is the living, breathing, and authoritative Body of Christ. You cannot separate to Word of God from his Church. They are one in the same.
