How do I add to what has already been said. My wife and I live in Pleasanton but are always willing to make the drive to Oakland or Berkeley for a good dinning experience. This falls into that category. It's great all around--food, environment and service. Fresh ingredients, well prepared and presented. What makes this trip more special for me is it's in the neighborhood I spent the first eight years of my life. Looking to go back often.

Pizzaiolo is a little slice of heaven, a trip to Italy with the convivial atmosphere and good, fresh food made with produce and meats direct from farmers that you might think of when you go to ... Italy! Only it's right in Temescal. I love the music, the people, the warm spirit. It's also awesome as a pastry and coffee spot with great wifi in the morning.

Been meaning to try this place since we moved to the neighborhood and it lived up to the hype! Great ambiance, delicious food and friendly service.

Some of the best Italian pizza that I've had in the East Bay, Pizzaiolo is a great place to hang out with friends. It's pretty fun to come on a quiet, cold East Bay night and play some Bocce Ball outside while drinking some beer and then warming up later with some whiskey at the end.

We had a wonderful veggie pizza. The crust was unique and memorable. I really like the atmosphere at Pizzaiolo. When a certain mixture of people gather in a room to talk, eat and drink in a restaurant, a unique chemistry results. It creates a mood or atmosphere and this adds to (or subtracts from) the dining experience. Pizzaiolo always has the kind of dining atmosphere I enjoy.
