My presentation at DroidCon Berlin 2014!
One of the hardest parts of writing an Android application is dealing with images. They take up a lot of memory, and are a leading cause of crashes and slowd...

Food is okay - the burgers are quite good, but anything non-special is average. Service was quite attentive; they made me a custom dish, and repeatedly stopped by asking if we needed anything.

In 1948, Brazil and the UK had about the same population. Today, Brazil is three times as big.

I have just about had it with the bullshit known as digital cameras and cameraphones and so-called convenience. I want my film camera back.

St Marys Catholic Infant School
Bedford Park, Croydon CR0 2AQ
My son started here in Reception and has just finished Year 1. The school has worked wonders with him. He has made so much more progress in reading, maths, social skills, and sports than I would have dreamed of two years ago. He has had very good teachers who really do care about every student, keep in close communication with parents, and are always available for a chat before or after school. He has enjoyed a number of good field trips and after-school sports. Definitely recommended for Catholic families in Croydon.
Quality Excellent

I spent the two most miserable years of my life here. Do not, I repeat, do NOT send your children to this horrible institution, especially in the elementary grades. Everyone is mean here, from the teachers who deliberately jeer at and humiliate their pupils, to the students themselves who beat, abuse, bully and find creative ways to torment each other. Nobody has friends in the conventional sense of the word, just rivals to be surpassed and diminished. God help you if you come from a working-class family, or are overweight, or really are different in any way. The school is forever punishing, handing out 'hours' and 'gatings' like clockwork, but it has no discipline, or decorum, in any meaningful sense. It's a cutthroat, no-good place, and your child is better off almost anywhere else.

This place is pure tourist rip-off. Avoid at all costs. It has long queues, and there is nothing inside it of London's real history or culture, just a series of silly ghost models, a carbon-copy of dozens others elsewhere.

This may be one of Asia's greatest bookstores. An incredible selection of adult and children's books in English and Tamil, and an equally impressive range of CDs (including MP3 CDs) and DVDs. Not to be missed by any visitor to Chennai.

It's easy to miss this place, tucked away on the first floor of Whitgift towards the Wellesley Road entrance. Nonetheless, it's a convenient place to grab a bit on your way back to the tram. Despite the name, it's a cafe, not a bar. It offers a limited but tasty enough selection of Italian dishes and sandwiches.
