We stayed here on our first trip to Oslo - the hotel is located in the city center and a block away from the subway station - that is, an easy 20 minute commute from the airport. When we arrived, the first thing the front desk has informed us of was the union/ hotel employees' strike that is causing staff shortages. That is, we would need to stop by the front desk for towels. The front desk did not relay any other information about the hotel - two days into our stay we found that the hotel had a free wifi for its guests and serves a complimentary breakfast every morning. This information should have been relayed at check-in.The room quality was average. There are plenty of restaurants in the area within walking distance for a dinner or lunch. There are also numerous hotels in the area - and the commute from the airport is easy. I would recommend staying at another property in the city center for an enjoyable experience.

We stopped at the Lista lighthouse on our drive from Stavanger to Oslo. We were there early May and have been informed that the lighthouse is under renovations therefore closed until June. We walked around and by the ocean, visited the engine room which also has been converted into a small museum. The gift/coffee shop had souvenirs and local maps; we also mailed post cards from there. Before heading out we lunched at the coffee shop with fresh pancakes that the staff makes on site. I would highly recommend visiting the place and stop by the coffee shop for pancakes - they were delicious.

went here for lunch last week - the place did not have AC running and had the entrance door open for air instead; as it is getting hotter in new york - it would be a good idea to turn on the ac. I had sliders and beer - and the food quality was as expected... the service staff was nice and attentive

we reserved a table for 2 for Sunday evening. As we walked in - we found plenty of open/available tables and it stayed this way until closing. The restaurant is situated on the boardwalk overlooking the harbor; we were sited in the patio by the window - and the view was beautiful. The service was good, knowledgeable on the menu and daily specials and helped with the wine selection. One of the suggested dishes was a whale meat which we tried. The meat is to one's personal liking - it tasted like liver to me; still very different and i would recommend if you have not tasted it before. We had "petit fours" and cheese selection for a desert - and "petit fours" goes great with latte/cappuccino. Overall, the place was cozy and relaxing for Sunday evening - we had a good experience.
