Another bit of why it's important to worldbuild not just the food, but the plants that the food comes from.

An incredibly scary story about the danger of cults and cult-like thinking. Trigger warnings abound for those who need them. shakes head But an important article, I think, about the dangers of blind trust.
Willie Jessop, once the feared head of imprisoned polygamist prophet Warren Jeffs' "God Squad," has switched sides. He's testifying for the federal government.

Not directly related to space colonization, but still relevant to the group's interests. These robots could easily become the next rover, the substitute humans exploring unfriendly environments with the agility of a human body. The ability to walk through semi-rough terrain, stay on their feet when shoved, and able to pick themselves up again, all at this stage? Points to bigger things, IMO.
Boston Dynamics has a new video showing off the latest version of Atlas—the badass humanoid robot. And it’s pretty incredible. The most striking thing about this new version is the amazing balance Atlas achieves. I’ve never seen a humanoid robot with this kind of agility.

The Superbowl halftime show reminds me of an old fashioned Bollywood guys vs. gals dance-off. #superbowl

I tell my friends and family that my husband married me because I look like Grumpy Cat, and he considers her his totem animal. Never mind that we were married long before GC was born.... But yah, I have resting bitch face. Always have, with the corners of my mouth turned down.
Good news, everyone! You can now wear your mildly discontented face with some validation.

The local plants, they be important to the history of the area as well as potential descriptions that can anchor the reader in the place and time. This article reminds us why it's important to have gardeners as well as warriors in our narratives.

Oh, what this technology says about future problems such as disaster relief, risky mining technology, dangerous environmental hazards clean-up, and so much more. Fascinating and hopeful.

Attention all single, divorced, separated, and widowed men who continually circle me!

I am not interested in any outside relationships. I am far too busy with my current set of relationships, including my marriage, to be looking for anyone else to add to the mix. My life is complicated enough. So, Not. Interested. No special cases, no long-distance relationships, no exceptions. My looking for line is not lying. Friends only. If someone wants to follow along to see what I have to say, that's fine. Otherwise, I refer you to Johnny Lee's song "Looking for Love". As in, this is the wrong place.

I am especially Not. Interested. if you're older than I am. Hard limit. Nope. No exceptions, either. No special cases, no give it a try, no nothing. Look somewhere else.
