The Tin Muffin is a unique and charming little restaurant that reminds you of your favorite aunt's house (you know, the one who used to bake and cook and had all these awesome stories and books but no TV but it didn't matter because it was a place of wonder?). The food is amazing and all made that day in the kitchen. Even the simple mozzarella and tomato sandwich is incredible, due to the fresh cheese and tomatoes and pesto put on it. The desserts are delectable; there are so many its hard to choose just one, so go with someone who will order something to share with you! Brent and Phil are the owners and are so lovely! The staff is as well. It is cash only though!

Been wanting to try this place for a while and ended up being super disappointed. The server was short and obviously in a hurry to ignore us. She couldn't spit her words out fast enough, I could hardly understand what she said. She rattled thru the specials, after I had to ask what they were, rushed us to order then she never came back to the table again. Didn't bring us our food, never checked on us, nothing. And definitely didn't bother to let me know the special I ordered was $20 for a tiny portion of food that wasn't close to being worth it. Never again. People like that are what ruin unique businesses like this!

It never ceases to be a pleasure to eat at this long-standing establishment. Everything is consistently fresh, delicious and quickly served. For folks who complain about pricing, I would suggest that they eat at other restaurants in Boca and compare. Yes, there is little parking directly in front of the restaurant but a spot can almost always be found within 1 block and it's Florida after all, so a block's worth of walking is hardly tedious. No, they don't accept credit cards and anyone who's had a small business will understand why - it's just one more thing that adds to the cost of doing business, and since some reviewers have complained about prices, why would the restaurant owner want to do anything else to drive up costs? I have not experienced poor service here, but what I have observed is that customers occasionally bring their poor attitude along with them to dine (it's a small space so all other diners are within earshot) and perhaps that reduces service quality from time to time. I have observed the owner walking around from table to table inquiring as to customers' satisfaction, and was impressed by his personal involvement and commitment to quality. And his new coconut cupcakes are superb - an excellent addition to his dessert offerings, which are already the stuff of dreams.

This is a great place that needs to move into the 21st century... I had a great meal, great service, and then go to pay and they tell me that one line on the bottom of the menu says "do not accept credit cards" no where on the door or store front does it say this... So I have to walk 100 yards to the bank and back and pay a $3 ATM fee, so when I can back, they expected a tip?...This all could have been avoided with a "FREE" solution many are out there that charge you a small percentage per transaction, no monthly fee, not gate fee, just a processing fee... For example my check was $14.00 and with a FREE program like "squared" they would have been charged about .40 cents... a paperless receipt would have been emailed to me, and they would instantly have the money, which I am sure would be a smart move if they were looking to have more business, other then the 3 people that were there the whole hour I was...If you want to try this place don't forget cash...

This is the perfect lunch spot and you can sit outdoors or indoors. Intimate, good service, great homemade lunch items and the muffins..oh the muffins are terrific. The deserts are also amazing and you can tell these owners take pride in their work and in the high quality ingredients they use. I highly recommend visiting the Tin Muffin Cafe. Just keep in mind they are open until 4pm and take cash only. Grab a parking space on the street and be sure to check out their whimsical restroom especially during the holidays.

I've been eating there since it opened many years ago. I've had nothing but great food every time.

The lemonade, cafe club, blueberry muffins were delicious. One of the best meals I've had. The service was prompt and kind, and the price was very reasonable for the quality. The location, however, is unfortunate. Beautiful, and great to walk to, but if you're driving, know that there are about 8 parking spaces for a restaurant that seems to have about 25 people at a time for lunch. Park nearby instead of attempting the parking lot and possibly being forced to reverse back onto Palmetto. Personally, I risked getting towed. (Worth it.) Indoor seating is limited, with about 10 tables, so you might have to sit outside. I wouldn't want to go if I thought it would rain.
