Here's my experience... I made the guy a fair offer at his online store. I even upped my offer, but Instead of replying to me, he just entered my order (Discogs) at his FULL PRICE. He never counter offered or replied at all. I was forced to ask him to cancel my order which evidently upset him. When I shared my experience, he gave me a negative rating saying that I was dirty & unfair. Me? You be the judge. I don't spend my money with people who deal this way.

This customer used the threat of negative feedback to get a $17.00 record for $7.00 and because I didn't agree to it he retaliated with this negative Google review.

In my opinion- records were way overpriced compared to other places. no bargain racks and practically nothing is priced below $10, even mediocre records. The Morristown store had a much wider vinyl selection as well as more 12" singles, which the new store does not have. Records are stuffed in shelves and hard to browse. I'd also encourage you to carefully examine the record conditions as they are not as strict and careful grading them as say Princeton Record Exchange................................................................................................. Update- ashley, i looked through the entire store. I saw one milk crate of records on the floor that were priced in the $1-$5 range, and they were scratched up, or garbage records that should be in a dumpster. There are absolutely no good deals, or even fair prices to be found in this place, and that's what record collectors look for. I don't care about a friendly staff, or seeing in store concerts, I want good deals on vinyl. perhaps they don't move 'a large volume' of LPs because the same overpriced records stay on the shelves for years, and they don't work enough to get new arrivals. t's a great community place, sure, but if you're an out of town record guy like myself, it's a waste of time. I feel people need to know this if they are going to take the time to visit. These glowing reviews are seemingly all from residents who are friends with 'Bill' This store is not in a major city, so u need to make an effort to visit, and as a warning, you may feel like it was a waste of time as I did. I am not exaggerating, and I don't have any issues with the staff, they are nice guys. I am giving my opnion. If you want your business to thrive, have good prices and keep people coming back........................................................................................You had a store in Morrisville, PA, not Morristown, my mistake (you obviously knew what I was talking about). One of the reviewers said to 'stop in and talk to bill' so i suppose he doesn't know what he's talking about, I don't know any of the staff by name. And, no, because I leave a negative review does not mean I have an 'ax to grind' or I am competing with your business. I clearly said that the staff in your store were 'nice guys' and if you see my other reviews, I have reviewed many record stores, with fairness and honesty. I have been collecting records for over 20 years and I know what record buyers look for, and left an honest OPINION. I surely hope you do open another section to allow more room for 12"s, and more stock in general. The library bookshelves that you have are completely packed and difficult to browse, and most of it has stayed on your shelves since the Morris'ville' store because of the high prices. I was utterly disappointed in your store as you can clearly read in my review. I do hope the store will improve.

I love The Record Collector. There is a wide selection of vinyl which is unusual to find these days. They also have amazing shows on the weekends. If you love rock and roll, you will definitely love this store. I know I do!!!

BUYER BEWARE! This seller is not only unresponsive to simple inquiries once you pay for your order but is also extremely slow to ship. Once my order arrived 2 out of the 5 records I ordered were visually & audibly damaged contrary to the description the seller stated them to be in. REVIEWER BEWARE! Though seller sees no reason to respond to questions pertaining to an order they are quite quick to send out a shitty response to your review.

The store had a pretty good selection of classic rock, metal, blues/soul/jazz, and modern rock records. Friendly staff and decent prices. Only complaint would be that the store seems to be a bit disorganized.

Cute little place in a cute little town. A small used section, at around $5-$6 range, not much worthwhile. They had an additional $1 tables, but all the discs were in the plastic frame holders jammed into multiple milk crates. Sadly, I did not have the time to dig through them. They have a good selection of new CDs – some of the bands and titles surprised me. Their vinyl selection was of a good size as well. Though I was only there about 15 minutes and did not pick up with anything, my visit was a pleasure to this good neighborhood music store.
