I am currently working on a project in Africa (school buildings) where my company is supervising the contractor's work. For this project, it is required for the contractor to bring it's own execution plans. Before starting the construction, they have to hire another engineering firm to design and produce the execution plans. Since we have already designed for the project during the design process, I believe the contractor could just use our plans. But apparently this is how an engineering project is always handled in this country. From your experience, do the contractor use the plans made by the consulting firm during the design process, or do they bring their own plans?
