FDA approved the RP-Vita in 2014. 7 US hospitals including Dignity Health in Sacramento are using iRobot's RP-Vita Telepresence Robot. Once linked to Watson’s as a service brain, MC10, Theranos, and the X Prize’s tricorder (Scanadu ?), coupled with telepresence, they'll be able to replace numerous functions, vitals, diagnosis, blood testing, etc.
