We have been focused on staff engagement for some years and we are excited to announce that we are able to share some of the best practices with other businesses. Our in-house work has resulted in our Investors in People Gold Standard, two consecutive appearances on the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For in 2017 and 2018, and receiving the ServiceMark accreditation from the Institute of Customer Service for world class customer service.

Engagement centres on the human relationships that exist within an organisation. We are very proud of our leadership methodology, liveBIG. It shares our obsessive belief that we are all capable of achieving great things and that our leaders in the workplace have an amazing and unique opportunity to help their people develop that capability. When we get that right, we achieve far more than we ever thought possible.

LiveBIG has been hugely successful at Claims Consortium Group, as it has when we trained it out to more than 100 of our supplier organisations. And due to demand from other businesses wanting to share in our innovation, we’re now offering training to you.

LiveBIG is leadership development and coaching for forward-thinking organisations that truly care about their people. To find out more about what liveBIG could do for your business see our new web page:

We're delighted to once again be included in the 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain list, which was launched by the London Stock Exchange this morning in Paternoster Square. This is their "annual celebration of some of the fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK". Chancellor Phillip Hammond was keynote speaker, and the event has been a great opportunity to network with other businesses included in the list.

Winning the Customer Service Strategic Leadership Award at the Institute of Customer Service UK Customer Satisfaction Awards 2018 was a proud moment for our CEO Jeremy Hyams – and for us all. The tension was high on the night, as this video clip demonstrates. There was certainly some incredible service-focused talent to rub shoulders with. #customerservice

On Friday 8 June some of our team will be sleeping out under stars once again, in aid of Taunton Association for the Homeless.

Taking place at Taunton Town Football Club, brave volunteers will spend the night outside to raise awareness and money for this great local charity.

Last year our own Jody & Holly took part, raising over £600 for TAH. If you're Somerset-based why not join us this year? Details of the event can be found here: http://bit.ly/2qWl7qE or you can contact Rosie: RHather@tahltd.co.uk.

Our business has been announced as a finalist in the Diversity Award category at the British Insurance Awards 2018.

The award recognises a company that has embraced and championed diversity within their operations, and Claims Consortium CEO Jeremy Hyams has said he is very proud of the nomination.

He said: “Our staff are at the heart of our business, so ensuring their wellbeing is an important part of our operations. Our support is reflected in the way our people support our values and in the service they provide to our customers.

“To be recognised by the BIAs for our emphasis on diversity in the workplace is an incredibly proud moment, and I want to thank everyone who has worked hard to reach this point.”

Winners will be announced at the awards night on 4 July 2018, taking place at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

We’re delighted that Danielle Morrow at our Northampton office has qualified as a Chartered Lawyer/Legal Executive.

This follows years of hard work. Danielle studied Law at Northampton University, and her Legal Practice Course at Oxford Institute of Legal Practice. Before joining Claims Consortium she worked in the legal sector as a paralegal.

Since starting with us she has become a member of CILEx in 2016 and is now undertaking the Professional Skills Course (PSC) to change her current title to Solicitor, with the assistance of our Head of Legal, Lisa Jarrett. She’ll then be starting our own Institute of Leadership and Management qualifications. She was also a ‘rising star’ in our 2017 Staff & Supplier Awards.

She says: “This journey is one that has been both challenging and now so rewarding. It has not been easy but I am super proud of my accomplishment and now being legally qualified. I am forever grateful to Claims Consortium and Lisa Jarrett, for supporting me to achieve this. Lisa has dedicated considerable time in my journey and I will always be thankful.”

Huge congratulations from Claims Consortium!

We are very proud to have been recently awarded the internationally applied British Standard OHSAS 18001, widely regarded as the highest award for great health and safety management.

We have also recently been awarded The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Gold for the second year running, demonstrating our commitment to maintaining an excellent health and safety record.

Our Professional Services Director, Nick Turner, said: “Being awarded both the OHSAS 18001 and RoSPA Gold standard highlights the importance we place on the welfare of our staff, suppliers and customers, and is an excellent achievement for everyone involved.”

Claims Consortium Group’s Claire Lashbrook has been awarded Young Professional of the Year by the Exeter branch of the Chartered Institute of Insurance (CII).

The David Grimley Memorial Award for Young Professional of the Year recognises the development and achievement of young members in the Institute, and was presented at Exeter’s 96th Annual Dinner.

Claire said: “It is a huge honour to be recognised by the Institute at this level, particularly for doing a role which I genuinely love.”

Debbie Mawer, Director of People and Culture at Claims Consortium, added: “We are incredibly proud of Claire’s achievements both in her contributions to the industry through her role with the CII, and in the development of her role here at Claims Consortium. She is a brilliant advocate for young people in our profession, and is hugely deserving of this award.

Claire is a CII council member. Last year she was named as Careers Officer within the Exeter branch, a role which sees her visit schools and colleges to talk about opportunities within insurance.
