Actually I did respond to this person's question. I also directed this person to my web site which dealt with the precise question she had asked, which was based on California law. This person then wanted me to advise her further about Pennsylvanian law. I explained to her that is not something that I can do, since I am not admitted in Pennsylvania. I also explained that I was willing to talk to her on the phone for a few minutes to get a feel for her issues. But that I was going out of town, and that my time was limited. I also explained that, in general, I do require that people book an appointment if they want an in depth consultation. Most people find that reasonable. In addition, most people are happy when they are able to talk to the attorney directly when contacting a law firm. In general, I found this young lady to be very demanding and presumptuous for someone who is not yet a client.
