Horrible ! Please stay away ... I ordered the lunch thali and the food was very very stale - old chapati ( probably from the day before ) stale rice - absolutely stale and stinking goat curry. Goat was very very stale - Dal was ok I see all the reviews and maybe it's just the thali . The restaurant itself gives a shoddy look so I'm not surprised...

This is my first day in Texas and Austin. I choosed this restaurant by random choice. This place is awesome. Food here is better than every restaurant I ate in PA,NJ and DE. I am really not good at judging the ambience but I'll try. Its three stars. Hmm may be three and half. Food. Simply authentic. Not too spicy. Not overly cooked. Not greasy. Not over aromatic. Just right. Samosa and chutney are the best. The red and green chutneys I got with samosas tasted same at every Indian restaurant but this place. I can see the care taken to make these chutneys. Outstanding. I also had veg thali platter. Just like samosa, everything cooked at right level. Premium quality Indian food at regular joint. Just not mentioning anything about the waiting crew as they are impeccable.

I'm not an expert at authentic Indian cuisine, but I haven't had a bad meal here yet. The Tikka is delicious, but my go-to is their Coconut Curry. Shred the chicken cubes and mix all the happiness together. You're welcome.

An Indian restaurant serving Marathi Food is so rare in the USA. The only other I know is in Asheville, NC. I enjoyed the Malavani curry and the drink called Kokum Curry ( Sol Kadhi in mararhi). Oh and took the Parato Vada for carry out.

Incredible food. The family that runs it is always there. They take pride in their food and it shows. The mint chutney with garlic naan is a must start. I tend to go veggie tikka masala or gomontok coconut curry as an entre.

i have too many good things to say about this place! First off, the service here is outstanding, its a family owned place and they hire great wait-staff and everyone is courteous, funny and hospitable, just what you expect from an indian place. the food is outstanding and they use NO CREAM, which makes it that much better/cleaner. they also don't overdo it on the Ghi, so I always leave here feeling satisfied but not bloated. Loads of options and my personal favs. would be the goat with saag, hold the rice :) chicken lollipops are great but barely what i'd consider indian cuisine. bombay rice is fantastic, spicy dishes are great. highly reccomend!

New India isn't BYOB anymore since November 2013. We ordered our staples, stuffed naan, creamy saag paneer, chicken tandoori, papadum, so we can compare their version of it with our favorite Indian Restaurants. Their food was tasty and fresh. It seems like they served a healthier version as well (less creamy, which is not a bad thing). Service was a little slow and inattentive but we were not in a hurry. We will definitely come back to try their other dishes. They have a dog friendly patio in front and on the side of the restaurant.
