According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, active shooter incidents per year have been steadily on the rise. Between 2014-2015 there were 6 times as many incidents than in the two-year period of 2000-2001. It’s more important than ever to be prepared for these types of scenarios. #beprepared #bystanderssavelives #traumakit #publicsafety

An explosion occurred after the Ariana Grande concert yesterday in Manchester, England left at least 22 dead and at least 59 injured. The explosion happened outside the concert venue in a public space as people were exiting. Many of the concertgoers were kids and teens. Here’s an amazing story out of California involving a shark attack. A few people that were on scene when the attack happened helped take the necessary actions to treat the victim. A surf leash was used as a make-shift tourniquet and pressure was applied to the wound to help save the lady's life. #tourniquet #savealife #beprepared #StoptheBleed

Why do schools need #traumakits? According to FBI – Federal Bureau of Investigation statistics, schools K-12 and institutions of higher education are the second most vulnerable location for active shooter events. Although more than half of these horrific events ended in 5 minutes or less, devastating damage was already done. #Lawenforcement‬ responds within minutes, but it could take hours for a scene to be declared safe. Meanwhile, victims could need #lifesaving‬ medical treatment immediately. #Tramedic places the necessary gear in anyone's hands, so that every life that can be saved will be saved.
