Menu
Chef Daniel Boulud’s renowned restaurant delights the senses with elegant ambiance, gracious service and delectable menus in the heart of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. This Relais & Châteaux member’s award winning contemporary French cuisine is inspired by the seasons and accompanied by world class wines. The distinctive setting boasts contemporary furnishings and finishes atop the restaurant’s grand neo classical architecture. DANIEL offers the Bellecour Room for private dining and a warm and welcoming Bar & Lounge where guests enjoy creative cocktails, à la carte dining and sumptuous late night desserts. The restaurant is also a distinctive destination for weddings and rehearsal dinners, and is one of the few Manhattan restaurants to have a coveted two-star Michelin rating.

Experience The Bar & Lounge at DANIEL, where classic European cocktailing takes place behind a sleek bar of Brazilian blue marble. Bartenders in white smoking jackets offer the same, attentive service that the dining destination is known for, and cocktail creations align with the kitchen’s culinary philosophy: seasonally rooted, globally inspired, expertly executed. The Bar & Lounge at DANIEL does not require reservations, and is open for enjoyment Mon-Sat 5:3OPM-11:00PM.

One of the best restaurants I have ever been in. BUT, be prepared to pay. If you are OK with paying a lot, but in return have one of the best meals you will ever have, Daniel is the place. Everything was perfect, the food, the service, the atmosphere. Loved it.

Classic French techniques. Flavors are rich in contrast to lighter fare from other French inspired places. We celebrated our wedding anniversary there and sat at the PDiddy table hidden in the back. Jacket required.

I celebrated my wife's birthday here. The menu is simple, with two options from tasting menu either the 4 or 7 courses. The four course is more than enough food. We could barely take another bite by the dessert. The cuisine s seasonal French food by Daniel Boulud. Lighting: The restaurant has beautiful lighting. The lighting is very warm and not too dark nor bright. Lighting is very warm and well lit in all parts of the restaurant. Seating: We were sat in the perimeter. There is seating in the middle of restaurant and also two seaters along the perimeter. Seats are well spaced, so I don't feel so cramped. This also helps with noise level, so I don't need to yell to have a conversation. Staff: The service is top notch and expected for this type of restaurant. Food: The courses were well spaced, so not too feel rushed and too stuffed, allowing time for each course to settle and enjoy. Great flavors, taste, and great presentation. Dessert: Delicious and also great presentation. This is definitely worth the price and definitely worth going to at least once and even more.

The restaurant has a great decor and ambiance but the food and the service was poor. The food wasn't fresh and just plain. The service was cold and unprofessional. Prices are high and in my mind the place is overrated.
