Menu
Chef Daniel Boulud’s renowned restaurant delights the senses with elegant ambiance, gracious service and delectable menus in the heart of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. This Relais & Châteaux member’s award winning contemporary French cuisine is inspired by the seasons and accompanied by world class wines. The distinctive setting boasts contemporary furnishings and finishes atop the restaurant’s grand neo classical architecture. DANIEL offers the Bellecour Room for private dining and a warm and welcoming Bar & Lounge where guests enjoy creative cocktails, à la carte dining and sumptuous late night desserts. The restaurant is also a distinctive destination for weddings and rehearsal dinners, and is one of the few Manhattan restaurants to have a coveted two-star Michelin rating.

Experience The Bar & Lounge at DANIEL, where classic European cocktailing takes place behind a sleek bar of Brazilian blue marble. Bartenders in white smoking jackets offer the same, attentive service that the dining destination is known for, and cocktail creations align with the kitchen’s culinary philosophy: seasonally rooted, globally inspired, expertly executed. The Bar & Lounge at DANIEL does not require reservations, and is open for enjoyment Mon-Sat 5:3OPM-11:00PM.

Was recommended by friend. Elegant ambience. Foods were delicious. Every plate was art. Service is great. Fantastic experience. Strict dress code. Reservation recommended.

Classic French techniques. Flavors are rich in contrast to lighter fare from other French inspired places. We celebrated our wedding anniversary there and sat at the PDiddy table hidden in the back. Jacket required.

Classic restaurant with dishes that make you feel like each dish was made especially for you. They create food that looks like art work, and taste amazing! The place is extremely expensive. If the prices are too much is up to you, but one thing is guaranteed, if you are ok with spending 400-700 for 2 people, but enjoy food that you probably never had before, this is the place for you.

So my son walked in wearing a vintage t and jeans. I have no problem that there is a dress code. I likely would have brought him back when we were both properly dressed. But the doorman told him "We don't tolerate people who are dressed like you. ". Now, we will NEVER eat there, nor will any of my friends who like fine dining. I'll take my son to FRENCH ROAST where the food and service are both excellent.
