Post has attachment Del Mar Race Horse Rescue - 760-861-1224 - Lori Hudson - Hearts for Horses - Melanie Rubick - Owners

Lori Hudson has made this all possible with her love and rehabilitation skills, she has been saving horses from the race track for over 25 years and is in need of donations.  She is only one person who is currently taking care of nine horses.

She is in need of shots, teeth floating, feeders and always in need of food.  They eat at least 50.00 of food a day, which does not include their supplements and medicine.  Call Lori if you can help in anyway at

GOD shines HIS LIGHT on these horses they are a blessing and we will do what it takes to SAVE their lives!

Barney was too big to race being that he is over 17 hands, instead of going to slaughter he was rescued.

Coco was rescued many years ago from the race track she is now 29 years old and doing very well.

Dede is our latest rescue she has been with us for a year in September, she is full of life and can live one now.

George is a gelding that is full of love and life and because of being rescued he can live a great life.

Irish is a chestnut gelding and is recovering from an old injury, he gets Bute daily for the pain.

Maddie is a chestnut mare and she cribs which horses do when they are bored and nervous.

Silver is a grey mare and she is doing really well these days, she is eating again, and putting on weight.

Save the Animals - Save the Horses - Casino Night - Birthday Party - Orbs - Volunteers - Sponsors - Adoption -

In 2007 Pattie retired from advertising to pursue her lifelong passion for horses. She developed The Dudette Ranch concept, a local take on the vacation destination Dude Ranch. The program was structured to allow a limited membership access to this private facility, the horses and use of the equipment for a monthly fee.

Whether you want to escape from reality for several hours, recapture your youth, increase your stamina, lose weight, make new friends or aspire to be a serious Equestrian competitor, the Dudette Ranch program was designed for the experienced rider to be like owning a horse...just less expensive.

When 23 horse were abandoned at the Farm that same year, the Dudette Ranch concept was unceremoniously altered and became a horse rescue program. "The State doesn't have an adoption program for horses like it does for dogs and cats so these horses would have been euthanized," says Pattie.

"It was not in my business plan to become a Rescue Ranch, however, after calling 35 organizations from Arizona to Washington and finding them all full.....I had no choice! After years of serving the Non Profit community," says Pattie "ZAP!! now I am one!"

This is a non profit organization that depends on your donations to make sure these horses, who have out lived their "useful" life's, will have a respectable retirement and end of life experience here.

Your sponsorship may be the only thing between an abandoned horse and the killers!
Sponsor a Rescue's almost like owning one!
Saving animals life's changes people's lives!!

The ranch will host an Open Barn the first Saturday of every month from 10am-2pm

Bring carrots, your camera and the kids for a tour of a truly remarkable facility
