Life In A Jar - True story of a Humanitarian largely ignored and unknown until "1999, when students at a high school in Uniontown, Kansas, along with their teacher Norman Conrad, produced a play based on their research into her life story, which they called Life in a Jar. It was a surprising success, staged over 200 times in the US and abroad, and significantly contributed to publicizing Sendler's history worldwide"

t is with very heavy hearts, Jackie and I share the passing of our dear dear friend, Lt Col Russell O'Connell. "Oakie" flew his Last Flight this morning, May 15, 2015. We will be re-sharing all of our stories about him throughout the month. The Greatest Generation has lost one of it's Finest, and he will be missed by sooooo many who have had the privilege and honor to have known him. You have "slipped the surly Bonds of Earth... reached out and touched the Face of God..."

My good friend, Jassy, is visiting 'Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red' in London ... I am very honored to share with her permission -- these are her pictures and her words...

" "blood swept lands and seas of red" - I have always felt honoured to be able to take a short rail journey from home and reach this Royal palace so steeped in history. Today I felt doubly honoured to witness this piece of art, still being assembled by dozens of volunteers each poppy representing one of the fallen in world war 1. As I approached the tower I felt exited but on rounding the corner to witness the full extent of the sea of red I was overwhelmed with emotion and my only thought was 'please do not let this all be in vain'.
