Jeez. Talk about losing your base. After more than a week of increasingly heated national debate, on Saturday the Confederate flag lost another ally—at least a stereotypically perceived ally—in NASCAR. With pro-flag rallies being held in towns across the South over the weekend, NASCAR chairman ...

File this one under “So…this is still happening.” Last April then 52-year-old former NFL running back Herschel Walker was running his mouth publicly about how he could still play in the NFL. Conveniently forgetting that he wasn't particularly great back when he actually did play in the league, ...

Having surpassed Mia Hamm almost two years ago to the day as the all-time American leader (male or female) in international goals, on Sunday 35-year-old superstar forward Abby Wambach announced formally that the current Women's World Cup will be the last of her career.

The first round of the 2015 U.S. Open will be played Thursday, but the days leading up to the main event have been fraught with drama. We're talking about the kind of hilariously manufactured drama that could only exist in golf, because it exists naturally in most team sports.

Well, it's fair to call the Blackhawks a dynasty. On Monday evening in front of an elated hometown crowd in Chicago, the Hawks won their third Stanley Cup since 2009, shutting out the Lightning 2-0 in Game 6. It is their third in the last six years and sixth in franchise history.

On Tuesday Tallahassee's state attorney's office issued a warrant for the arrest of Florida State quarterback De'Andre Johnson, who was not expected to replace Heisman-winner Jameis Winston as the starter this season, on a misdemeanor battery charge stemming from an incident at a bar last week.

Even though the Women's World Cup is in full swing and the American women are set to take on China in primetime on Friday, games in the U.S. have been virtually hidden on television to this point. A point astutely noted by Seth Meyers and Amy Poehler when the two Saturday Night Live alum got ...

According to a new report by ESPN's Outside the Lines, disgraced former Reds player and manager Pete Rose, who has been kept out of the Hall of Fame for betting on baseball as a manager, which he finally admitted to in 2004, also apparently bet on games as a player too.

Recently the entire governing body of FIFA came tumbling down amid allegations of widespread corruption, bribery, and a decades-long pattern of behavior that would have long ago sunk any organization that didn't have the lucky distinction of representing the most popular sport in the world and ...

Ranting and raving about 'Deflategate' aside, the fact is, was, and will always be, that the Patriots absolutely humiliated the Colts in the 2014 AFC Championship in January. Indianapolis scored its only touchdown of the game in the second quarter and New England went on to win 45-7.

I suffered a massive flood at a townhouse I was renting in January 2014, which ultimately left my boyfriend and myself, as well as our two dogs, completely homeless. That’s in addition to the massive property losses incurred. Although the upstairs tenants were 100 percent responsible for what happened, it wasn’t long before the landlord, the upstairs owners and their shared insurance company felt like a united front against us. Within the first month, I knew we needed an attorney and started calling everyone I could find. Most didn’t even call me back, and those that did were dismissive and ridiculously overpriced. Steven Krieger returned my call within hours and I very nearly committed to him during our first conversation—within 24 hours I’d committed entirely. Honestly, it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It turned out that we had a long and bumpy road ahead of us. Within months our landlord illegally moved to evict us, despite the property being essentially condemned and loaded with asbestos, at the same time the insurance company stopped funding our hotel accommodations. Steven’s guidance throughout the process allowed us to keep our sanity, which is something that is vital when you have to find a new home in less than five days, in order to avoid homelessness. He handled all communications for us and was in communication exactly as much he needed to be. When there was a lull in our case’s progress, there was a lull in billable hours—absolutely no surprises. He was extremely flexible with payment arrangements and methods, with a very reasonable retainer, and was very open and up front about billing. It was an extremely bad time for us financially, but even so, his rate never seemed unreasonable. Throughout the entire ordeal I maintained meticulous financial records, tracking every loss and expense. Although I tabulated our losses at upwards of $25k, I never expected to get anywhere near that, mostly because that number was reached assuming everything we lost was brand new, which obviously wasn’t the case. I figured they’d probably offer us half that in the end, and that would be fine. When we got a settlement offer in November, it was for just over $26k. I know for certain that Steve was integral to the successful outcome we achieved. Emotions were running so high for us at the time that it was impossible to keep a level head and deal the many roadblocks as they came. I highly recommend him to anyone looking legal representation in any sort of landlord-tenant dispute—or anything else really.
