What's new with Chrome Apps?  You've built some great apps that work on ChromeOS, Windows, Mac and Linux, but what's next?

+Mike Tsao talks about new and exciting features since last year's Google IO: Managed In-App Payments, Unified GCM, enhanced Media Gallery API, the Mac App Launcher and more. Curious about what he's working on, he'll show some forward looking ideas such as ephemeral apps.

Insert from Drive in the Gmail Android app
It’s now easier for you to share files with friends and family—simply insert Google Drive files directly into your Gmail messages on your Android phone or tablet. If the file isn’t shared with the person you’re sending it to, you’ll get the option to change your sharing settings before you send it. And you’ll notice improved autocomplete suggestions for your contacts when composing messages—just start typing in the To, Cc or Bcc field to see better suggestions, faster.

These features will be rolling out over the next few days. If you aren’t already using the Gmail Android app, download the latest version from the Play store (https://goo.gl/3vcM7k).

If you sign it to your Google account from a different country, you'll probably see a page that asks you to verify it's really you and not someone who managed to obtain your password. This page has been recently redesigned an...

Listening to Larry & Sergey talking about Google, and where it's headed is always fascinating to me. The mix of Larry's deep philosophical ideas, and Sergey's humor on top makes for interesting conversations -- well worth watching for anyone curious about Google, in my opinion.

+Norbert Rittel is right, but it's worth mentioning that OEMs can always modify the Quick Settings menu, as well as the Settings app. This shortcut in the Chromecast app is probably meant to address that.

Most Google services use HTTPS and Google wants to switch the entire Web to HTTPS. YouTube uses encrypted connections for signed-in users and even video streams use SSL. You can check this by right-clicking a video, selecting...

Working with images in Google Docs, Slides and Drawings just got easier with two new features:

1. Reset an image: Unhappy with the properties and formatting you applied to your image? You can now go back to the original with the reset image button. Open your document, presentation or drawing, select an image, right-click and select 'reset image' from the context menu.

2. Replace an image: Change the image in your document, presentation or drawing without affecting the layout and formatting of the original image. Open your document, presentation or drawing, select the image you want to replace, right-click and select 'replace image'. You can then use our image picker to select your next image.
