Wishing Carol a great freshman year at Villanova University!

We had the honor to train another great soccer player here at Strive. Carol came to us so we could help her get prepared for her upcoming soccer season. We wish her all the best in her collegiate career.

While I applaud everyone that comes into Strive for fitness, it's equally important to exercise the mind. There are a few companies out there that provide such services to exercise your brain. One of these companies is called Lumosity. I started using their services myself and the games are fun to play and only take a few minutes out of your day. You do have to pay for their service but it's a nominal monthly fee. I do not get any kickbacks from them. Just something I wanted to share with everyone.

My New Year's Resolution is to get back into Tae Kwon Do competition shape. Here are some details in what it entails:

1. Losing 40-50 pounds. Need to be quick on my feet and be able to throw those fast kicks. So losing that weight will definitely help.
2. Increase my flexibility. I used to be able to do full splits in every direction but I'm far from that now.
3. Increase my cardiovascular stamina.

My resolution is very daunting but hopefully I can achieve it. Like I stated in my previous post, "Have More Fear of Regret Than Failure."

Please feel free to share your New Year's Resolution with me. If you post it here than everyone can know and we can help each other achieve them.

2 Year Anniversary!!

It has been two years now since we took over Strive, and we have come a long way since then.  Physical therapy has picked up a lot from two years ago.  We are slowly establishing ourselves as one of the premier physical therapy clinics in the area.

Fitness has been steady over the past two years.  We've added a lot of equipment this past year to make fitness more fun and challenging.  We want to maintain our reputation as being one of the best personal training clinics in the area.

We are always looking for ways to improve our facility and we just did by getting the Monster Rig. The rig is very versatile and you can expect fun things in the coming month, especially when we move to our new location.

Wishing Claire a great freshman year at Clemson University!

We've been training Claire the past several months to get her ready for her upcoming soccer season. She's a great player and worked hard to get where she is now. We are honored she chose to train at Strive and wish her all the best in her collegiate career.

Congrats to our very own Erin for getting accepted into OT program at UNC! We are extremely happy for her but sad at the same time because she will be leaving us in the summer. She's going to make a great OT.

Strive staff renews CPR and AED certification.

Hopefully we will never need to perform CPR on any of our clients but have comfort knowing the fact we are certified in case of such an emergency.

We have used the services at Strive Physical Therapy for several months and are tremendously thankful for the insight and expertise shown by Kaytlin to mobilize a Rotator cuff injury and painful lower back and leg symptoms. She integrated deep tissue massage techniques and the Grafton Method to her treatment. She is knowledgeable in the field and without her approach, neither area would be regenerated and functional. We are so grateful to know an excellent and capable PT and will recommend STRIVE to anyone! Thank you.
