Yea, definitely not a small town business model. I doubt it would even succeed in a place like Chicago currently. Cali, though, where he is at, might be feasible.
I feel if Americans were more open to being fair and sharing money than this (and the restaurant they mentioned) could be very successful. When Americans are asked to name their price I feel....they think it should be free.
