I have been to Nooshi a few times for lunch and this review is for the Lunch menu. The restaurant may have a nondescript entrance but is it is quite hip inside. They have quite a few tables for dining but they do get filled up fast during busy lunch hours. I a fan of their Vietnamese Spring Rolls, Sichuan Dragon Dumpling for appetizers and Spicy Seafood Ramen for the main course. The main dish is generous and does fill me up. The broth is a tad bit too spicy for me, but then I have low tolerance to spicy food. The flavors and taste of the broth is good tho! Sushi here is quite fresh and there is a good variety of sushi options to choose from. Service is prompt and efficient which makes the dining experience that much better!

I decided to carry out, and had to walk outside and go to another entrance. I order my food, but service was like a fast food restaurant, and the waiting area is just that, no place to sit but stand and look at some half empty shelves as it was setup as a convenience store. The sushi was ok. Probably a different experience eating there and should have tried the ramen as recommend by others who reviewed.

After a few months in the area, I have finally found a pretty good Asian fusion restaurant in DC! I got crunchy tuna and tuna with avocado sushi, chicken satay, and thai iced tea, all for $20 (with tax and tip). The thai iced tea wasn't very good, but it was only 1.75 for happy hour! I got my satay first, which was very flavorful. The peanut sauce wasn't too strong and perfectly complimented the chicken. The tuna seemed pretty fresh and the sushi was pretty satisfying, my only complaints are that they didn't have soy paper, the rice was a little too sticky, and the crunchy roll was kind of hard to eat. I can't complain about the fair prices though, and our service was pretty quick, which is nice at a sushi place. The decor is very nice, I would try to come at a post-happy hour time if you want to avoid crowds and noise.

Delicious food that is made even more delicious by the great happy hour specials. Strong drinks and a taste for every palette. Very busy during lunch and happy hour. If you get the Woo Woo be prepared to say "Whooo Whooo" afterwards - quite delicious and strong! Great bang for your buck!

The ginger salad was soooo good! I also ordered spicy tuna roll and spicy yellowtail rolls but they were fine, not bad but not exceptional.

Gratuity of 18% is included in the check so the servers have no incentive to ensure good service. Asked to wipe greasy table 3 times and the server got it finally wiped with a tiny, used, dry napkin. Server never came even once to asked how service had been.
