As others have mentioned Happy Tart sits back off the main road and is hard to see unless your know where to look.
The inside is small, but there is a decent selections of goodies to choose from.
The brownies were good, the almond joy macaroons were good, the mixed berry tarts were just so so.
I would stop in again if in the area and grab some more brownies.
Another great gluten free birthday cake this year for my 11-year old. Grayson looks forward to the Birthday cake from Happy Tart more than the presents I think! The last 2 years, we've ordered Washington Nationals themed cakes and we did a Buffalo Bills theme this year. The Happy Tart once again did an outstanding job with the cake. Thanks!
i love them I have had celiac disease for 6 years now and this is the only place I found that I love. They are super friendly and make all my special cakes for events. I highly recommend them as a celiac person and as a dietitian...not everything is healthy but sure tastes great.
If you didn't know this is a gluten-free bakery, you'd still think it's great. I particularly love what I call hand pies (cream cheese and jelly filled?! nutella filled? yes, please!) and the frangipane tarts.
I've also ordered an 8 or 9" round, decorated cake. It was a big hit, even with the gluten-eaters.
My first brush with the Happy Tart did not leave a great taste in my mouth - the counter personnel were somewhat inattentive, and the packages breads they sold were stale and bland. However, since then, I've found that their quiches are fantastic - not just for gluten-free, but for quiches anywhere! And that makes up for a lot.
