A “perfect” person ends up being one who can consciously forgive and include imperfection rather than one who thinks he or she is totally above and beyond imperfection. --Richard Rohr

I need it most days. You might like Richard Rohr--he's a Catholic priest, possibly Jesuit, maybe Franciscan. I get his daily meditations and that's where the quote came from.

Physical Comedy explained

The last act of Giacomo Puccini’s “Manon Lescaut” (1893) — his first hit, which launched Minnesota Opera’s new season Saturday at the Ordway — has gotten a lot of bad press

The Africa guy
Introduction
After teaching elementary school classes for 34 years I retired and went to work for St. Mary's Church in Willmar. It was there I saw the need to form a nonprofit, called E-quip Africa that collects computers, school and office supplies, books and used clothing for shipment to schools and organizations in Ghana, West Africa.
Bragging rights
I have two great sons and two beautiful daughters-in-law and three wonderful granddaughters and a wife (a grandmother) who keeps me alive, and... E-quip Africa is still operative.

Great work! Russ knows what to do and how to get it done. His company has re-sided and re-painted our house, installed appliances and doors and painted interior rooms. All done very well!

The "Norman Navy" has been coming to Big Timber Lodge since 2003 and has had a wonderful time each year. Our hosts, Preston and Penny, are great caretakers and happy to fulfill our needs. The beach area is beautiful--great sand, no drop-offs, safe for children and large enough for big families. The lake provides great fishing and scenic beauty as you'd expect in northern Minnesota. The concrete boat ramp is right between Cabin #1 and the lodge. Loons sing you to sleep while Eagles and hawks make for good watching during the day. The lodge has a large room for gatherings of all sorts from bingo to slideshows to crafts and billiards. The big stone fireplace looks inviting for early spring or late fall visits. The lodge store is open for purchases on a schedule along with free cappuccino from 9-10 every morning. Penny hosts events like crafts for the kids and will arrange for special services like a visiting CMT, Certified Massage Therapist. The only complaint this reviewer has is that the week passes too quickly and it's time to go home when you thought you had just arrived!
