Join us today at 4:30PM, ET for a Google+ Hangout with Sierra Green, archivist at the Senator John Heinz History Center's Detre Library and Archives, a Smithsonian Affiliate Museum. We'll explore materials from three local Pittsburgh stories, with an emphasis on how to seek out multiple historical perspectives in order to cultivate historical empathy. Teachers can use these examples to examine history from the experiences of people who directly participated in those events. Both local and national resources will be provided on this topic. http://s.si.edu/2oyorW8
