Great local spot. To tapas or not to tapas? Stumbled upon here for dinner and couldn't decide between Soleil and P'tit. We decided to go with the small plates, and it was good simple food. Foods: - French onion soup: very good, I love french onion soup, but often it comes too salty for my taste, the soup here though was perfect!! Will definitely come back the next time I need a quick onion soup fix! - Parmesan fondue: It comes in a small fried cheese wheel that you break the crust with and spread onto bread. Like a big cheese stick, the crust was definitely the best part. - Crab cake: Good, nothing spectacular -Poutine: who doesn't love fries smothered in gravy and cheese curds?? You can't go wrong! Our server was very nice and attentive and also informed us about AYCE mussels on Wednesdays, wine tastings and bottomless chamagne brunches on the weekends. I'm sold. Will definitely be back to try both!

Was attracted by the wonderful scents coming out of the place as I walked by. I have never had poutine before. I had the Poutine Daniel (duck, cheese and gravy over french fries). It was great. The service was very friendly--a Lithuanian woman behind the bar and a Quebecer delivering the food.

We came here actually because Fresh Corn Grill is closed on Sundays, but it turned out to be pretty good. We sat in the right side of the restaurant, which I guess is the more restaurant-y side? We shared the cheese plate to start. Then May and I both got salads. I got a Caesar, which I wish had had more anchovies. May got one with duck confit, which she said was tasty. M got lamb shank which was very tender and overall delicious. And then to finish we got a "twice-baked" flourless chocolate cake, which the server described as somewhat like a souffle, and was pretty tasty although next time I would like to try the normal flourless chocolate cake. Pretty small space. The service was good but I'm one of those people who gets annoyed when someone comes by to ask how your meal is going too many times. A little bit on the pricey side for my general lifestyle, but I think very reasonable as far as French restaurants go.

I went to Petit Soleil a few weeks ago and the whole team was exceptional. If you are looking for a REAL POUTINE in LA, you MUST go to Petit Soleil. I have been eating poutine my whole life back in QC and I can tell you that they have the real deal. For people looking to try a traditional French Canadian poutine or some fancy poutine, Petit Soleil is definitely the place. For dessert, if you have never had a sugar pie, you MUST give it a shot. You will never find a sugar pie in super markets in the CA so Petit Soleil once again is the place to go. I almost forgot to say that they make their own Gateau Vachon style dessert. Great prices and the team is awesome. Two thumbs up for the team at Soleil and Petit Soleil! Alex

It's a little place with real French people that talk with cool accents! =) Service was excellent. I order the Beef Bourguignon, which has a cool name and the pretty waitress said it tastes excellent, but it tasted terrible! It's just beef stew and I've had better with Campbell's chunky soup. On the other hand, my friend ordered the Chicken Crepe and it was amazing! I ate hers off her plate and it was really delicious.
