Longview Public Library is hosting Google Maker Camp this summer on Saturdays, starting July 12th - August 16th from 10:30 -11:30 AM.

Maker Camp is a FREE hands-on camp from Google and Make: for building, tinkering, and exploring- online and in your neighborhood!

Join young inventors and artists from around the world on Google+ to make awesome projects, go on epic virtual “field trips,” and meet the world’s coolest makers. Maker Camp inspires kids ages 5-12 to embrace their inner maker, get their hands dirty, fix some things, break some things, and have a lot of fun doing it.

• Week 1- July 12: Makers in Motion - Rockets
• Week 2- July 19: Art and Design
• Week 3- July 26: Fun and Games
• Week 4- August 2: Science and Technology
• Week 5- August 9: DIY Music
• Week 6- August 16: Make: Believe

Pre-registration is required for each class. Sign up by calling the Library at 903-237-1345. Space is limited to 24 children. Absence will result in loss of reservations in all subsequent classes to allow others to participate.

For anyone who has attended our Google Tools Classes please do give us a reminder on any specific topic that we can give you extras on.  The presentations will be uploaded in the coming weeks.
After having two classes now on this topic, we have pulled the information apart and are prepping it to be extremely user friendly and simple to follow.
