“The Monsanto Years are here and we are living them. Monsanto is the poster-child for what is wrong with corporate controlled government in our world. Our upcoming record, The Monsanto Years, encompasses several associated subjects that millions of people worldwide are concerned about and active in. Earth is not ours. We are of the Earth. That's how I feel. When we plunder our own home we hurt our children and their children after them. I feel responsible.” says Young      http://www.csrwire.com/press_releases/38062-GMO-Free-USA-will-Tour-with-Neil-Young-in-July

The NSA listened to France's highest ranking officials. Meanwhile France passes a sweeping surveillance law.
NSA documents reveal how the U.S. listened to communications of three French presidents. The disclosure comes as France's parliament expands surveillance powers of intelligence agencies.

Now we learn that even CSIS didn’t want the extreme privacy-undermining measures in Bill C-51. Speak out to now get this bill repealed at http://KillC51.ca?src=gplus
The Conservative government alarmed privacy advocates by overhauling the law to give Canada's spy agency easier access to federal data, even though the spies themselves said greater information-sharing could be done under existing laws, newly released documents show.

The Conservative Party is banning Canadians on social media from expressing their concerns about Bill C-51. We all have a right to express our deep concerns about this reckless, dangerous and ineffective bill. Keep speaking out!
The Harper government has seen intense backlash in the polls and on the streets from Canadians protesting C-51, its anti-terrorism legislation, from expected political, legal and civil society sources in the security vs. civil liberties debate. The backlash from the conservative grassroots, on the other hand, has been a little unexpected. Free Dominion co-founder Connie... Read more »

An investigation by Canada's information commissioner raises red flags about the potential deletion of crucial emails by the prime minister's staff. The probe, triggered by the temporary disappearance of emails in the Mike Duffy criminal case, calls on the Privy Council Office to regularly audit whether Stephen Harper's staff are playing by the rules.

We are concerned about our beaches, the birds and wildlife on Shoal Point and the fishery in Port-Au-Port Bay. We would like to know what action our representatives have taken or intend to take, with respect to the clean-up of this mess?  How long will we have to wait for this to be addressed?  As each day passes, more oil leaks into the water and scallop beds are destroyed.  It would seem that a “response time” is well past due. Western ...

France should respond to the U.S.’s “contempt” for its allies by giving Edward Snowden asylum, the leftist French daily newspaper Libération declared on Thursday.
France would send "a clear and useful message to Washington, by granting this bold whistleblower the asylum to which he is entitled,” editor Laurent Joffrin wrote in an angry Libération editorial.
