+Mike Snitzer well you came here calling everyone here a zealot and accusing them of not even reading your emails. Maybe you should give people the benefit of the doubt, and assume that they DID read the email. I did. I saw Alan warn you about a potential legal issue that in the USA is a felony.
Not everyone who doesn't like people skirting around or violating the GPL license is a zealot... they might be a copyright holder instead...... and really, if someone doesn't like the GPL, you do not have to accept it.Apr 21, 2012
Alan Cox+2+Mike Snitzer The scsi_dh code is linked with GPL kernel code. The scsi_dh authors can do things like grant exceptions to their own code but the moment it is linked with anything else GPL then they have no such ability.
There are some very specific reasons for concerns about that proposed change. I'll be happy to discuss them with Red Hat legal or management in private on Monday.Apr 22, 2012
+Alan Cox as you can see with the LKML post I just made; I'd prefer to discontinue my involvement in this google+ discussion. Thanks.Apr 23, 2012
