Perfect weather to ride our historic open-air cars! That's what they say. We're running Saturday at 11, 1 and 3, and Sunday 1 and 3. All from Clinton.

Check the website to make advance reservations or to ride from Tecumseh.

Run a real train?  Yes, you can!  Our first Volunteer Training is coming up Saturday April 5.  Come on down and join the volunteers that run Michigan's heritage railroad.

Win some money and help benefit the Southern Michigan Railroad!
Our volunteers are hosting a charity poker event at the Roundtree Bar & Grill, 2203 Ellsworth in Ypsilanti.  It runs all day (til 2am in case you get on a roll) plus Monday and Tuesday.
It's right off 94 (east of 23) - exit Michigan Ave east, immediately take Hewitt north, take the first or second left.  It's in the mall behind Dunkin Donuts.  (mmm, donuts!)

 Here's the bar's page:

Want to drive a locomotive? Be a conductor, ticket agent or gandy dancer? Help build Michigan's best railroad museum?

If so, come volunteer! Your first step is safety training. Don't miss the one this Saturday, March 23, at 9am and running all day.

It's also a chance to see the new site. We meet there at 301 W. Bartlett St. Clinton, Michigan. Bring $7 to contribute to lunch and class materials. (and $25 if you're not a member already - that's good for the whole year and includes free train rides and a newsletter.)
