As we wrap up #SharkWeek we wanted to give you a quick reminder that there are a few simple things that YOU can do to keep these amazing animals and our oceans healthy.

Recycle!

Improperly disposed of fishing gear and other forms of plastic pollution have an increasingly negative impact on our oceans and its animals. “Finn” a sculpture created by artist and creator of The Washed Ashore Project, Angela Haseltine Pozzi, illustrates this growing problem.

Click the link below to learn more about Finn and the 13 different types of plastic pollution that were used in his creation.
This #SharkWeek we want to remind everyone that you too have an impact on our oceans and our marine animals. Please recycle!

SeaWorld continues to fight to protect sharks & our oceans with support for the Shark Fin Trade Elimination Act of 2016.

Shark finning – cutting off a shark’s fins while the shark is alive and conscious, then discarding the critically injured animal to die – leads to the deaths of upwards of 75 million sharks each year.

Learn more about this legislation that will protect sharks!
SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, The Humane Society of the United States and the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation delivered letters to Senate and House sponsors in strong support of the Shark Fin Trade Elimination Act of 2016.

It’s finally summer! You know what that means… summer camp!

Each summer we welcome campers to our SeaWorld and Busch Gardens parks to learn more about wildlife and conservation! We challenged our summer camp alumni to share their favorite memories from their camp experiences, here’s what they had to say:

Tilikum and Malia, two of SeaWorld Orlando’s orcas, spent an afternoon interacting with park guests at the underwater viewing area. Be sure to stop by the next time you're in the park!

"These animals aren't just rescued on the weekdays. This is a 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week job. We work holidays. I remember a Christmas a couple years ago when a bunch of us were still here at 8 p.m. because we had rescued animals that day... Our families are very supportive of what we do because they know it's more than just a job; it's a calling and a passion."

Jody Westberg leads the team that rescues up to 1,000 sea mammals every year.
