Neha Garg: Nestled on the slope of a hill in the Sahyādri range, is the perfect vacationing spot for the stressed out living souls. All day you can hear the sweet nothings whispered by the neighboring birds, lying in the courtyard area or the patio, or you can chill out in pool sipping the beverages. Ahaaa! The pool, it was the best thing that happened to me while staying at Capella. The maximum depth is approx. 5 feet only, so non-swimmers like me can easily enjoy the benefits of pool About the interiors, everything has been selected thoughtfully and compliments well to the colonial theme. But still modern amenities like geyser, overhead rain showers, ACs, etc. are there to make your stay hassle free. The housekeeping staff works like the house elves from Hogwarts school of Harry Potter stories, they work invisibly to keep everything in perfect order. The cook, Maria, bakes delicious wholegrain bread, of which me and my husband have become a die hard fan and are now searching every nook and corner of Delhi for the same taste and texture, which I guess will be very hard to find. The caretaker, Seema, is a very happy-go-lucky kind of person and will try her best to fulfill your each demand. I fondly remember, how she searched the whole house for a Band-Aid for my small injury, used to feed us Indian bruschetta when we used to come in ravenous state after playing in the pool, played the shining Knight in armor (fetching the mosquito repellent lotion) for the damsels in distress (attacked by evening time mosquitoes), and many more small needs. Her lil son Aman is very shy, but when you ask his advice on which DVDs are good in library, he suddenly transforms to a very enthusiastic advisor. Ayesha was a perfect hostess and provided us with all the reviews required about the places, cab services, car hiring services, restaurants etc. They have compiled a nice and comprehensive list of service provider and furnished it in every room. The rooms are quite airy, with high ceilings and big, bathrooms are squeaky clean. The Heliconia room’s balcony faces east and if you are an early riser, you can have a beautiful view of the sunrise from there. Cleanliness, peace and warmth are the three words which best describes Capella. I wish to write more, but I guess I am turning this review into a memoir. Hence, rest of the words saved for the next trip.
