he three most common joke / questions I hear from people that I have just met...after I have told them that I am a Toastmaster are:
- Do you make anything other than toast?
- Are you going hunting? (red jacket reference)
- Do you work in a circus? (another red jacket reference)

Just wondered if anybody had any more? :-)

I am often torn when it comes to promoting my funeral celebrant service. I always receive a lovely bit of feedback from the family...and I want to share that with everybody...but I always feel that I would be breaching their confidence if I if anybody does want a reference then please let me know and I will put you in touch with some families from previous services; thank you.

Just another lovely quote from the couple with the best surname in the world....Mr & Mrs Valentine. I looked after their wedding on Saturday at the magnificent Alrewas Hayes

I looked after a wedding on Saturday at Hawkesyard Estate in Rugeley for the delightful Mr & Mrs Howell. They have a lovely family and set of friends...and all the staff and management were friendly too; I am a lucky man :-)

I looked after a dinner for 400 student accountants last Friday at Villa Park...and I'm off to the ICC this Friday evening to facilitate for the annual dinner of the British Insurance Brokers Association :-)

I had the privilege of looking after the wedding of Sharon and Michael at the Lancashire Cricket Club on Saturday. Sharon is an incredible lady (she only came out of hospital the night before her wedding day as she has a major health problem)...yet she carried herself amazingly throughout the day. It was a real family affair and I must admit to been drawn to tears on a couple of occasions. She is a real inspiration to everybody who knows her; God bless you my lady x

A bit of feedback from a wedding I looked after on Saturday 3rd August at Whitmore Hall:

Hi Colin

We wanted to thank you for doing such a magnificent job of organizing events at our daughter’s wedding last week; your contribution to Alexis’ and Jamie’s wedding was amazing. We have been inundated with letters, e-mails and text messages from guests, thanking us for inviting them to ‘the finest wedding they have ever attended’ and that is, in no small measure, due to your contribution.

In order to make the day even more memorable, not only for the bride and groom, but also for the guests, we had arranged a number of surprises (including a choreographed firework display, appearance of a David Beckham lookalike, musical and bridesmaid dancing accompaniment to the introduction of speeches, to name but a few).

You were quite brilliant in the logistical planning and production of everything we threw at you.

Your presentation was impeccable and you worked tirelessly throughout the day and night. In the end, everything worked perfectly. We really do not know how we would have done it without you.

We hope that we will be in a position to use your services again in the not-too-distant future.
