The train was surprisingly empty this morning. Sparse as far as interesting subjects. So I decided to try and emulate a film technique.
None of the people in this drawing were there at the same time.
I start my commute from Dunn Loring almost at the end of the Orange Line. Many people get on off during my long ride into the city.
I fixed my point of view and then as soon as a passenger came onto the train and stood in a zone of my picture frame, I sketched them.
Eventually by the time I got to the end of my ride I had managed to populate all the zones of my picture frames with different people.
Very much like a time lapse meets multiple exposures.
Hard part was trying to keep their distance from me straight and accounting for overlap and perspective.
I didn't get to do any rendering, but really like how this "composite" came out.
