People, life is tough. We are surrounded by tragedy, anger, violence, death, heartache, drama, and sadness. Things don't always go the way we want and life doesn't come with an instruction manual. Sometimes it seems as if there is no escape.
If you let it, the negativity in your life - the negativity in this world, will consume and destroy you.
Don't let it. For every negative situation there is ALWAYS something positive that can come out, as long as you know what to look for. These things may be small and insignificant, but they all add up.
From the moment you wake up to the moment you fall back asleep, you are surrounded by beautiful and great things - the peace and quiet when you roll out of your warm bed, the aroma of your morning coffee filling every corner of the house, and the first rays of sunshine forcing their ways through your blinds.
The day only gets better from there.
You walk outside and hear the beautiful song from the birds, high up in the tree-tops. You board the bus to be greeted by the smile of the cute girl or boy you see day after day. You get satisfaction from the sore muscles of putting in a hard and honest days work.
The feeling you get when you hold the door open for a random stranger - the smile and 'thank-you' you receive, warms your heart.
You walk in to your neighborhood Tim Hortons to have your coffee waiting for you, and sometimes even paid for by a complete stranger.
You receive a random phone call or message from an old friend.
From the moment you roll out of your warm bed in the morning, to the moment you crawl back under your covers at night, you are surrounded by thousands of beautiful and amazing moments.
Take a moment to appreciate the positivity in the world. It is worth it.
