At last: an explanation of how same-sex marriage harms traditional marriage. See, if same-sex marriage is allowed, women will marry each other, and get all the economic benefits while shutting men out and essentially making them slaves.

So says David Usher, president of the Center for Marriage Policy, who clearly isn’t afraid of women at all and is being perfectly rational.

Here’s how this works. Women will marry other women, even if they’re not lesbians, to “double up on” the economic benefits and welfare benefits. They can have their boyfriends to bring in additional income, but the boyfriends, not being part of the marriage, are disposable. The women will become pregnant, “often by pretending they are using birth control when they are not” (you know how women are!). The men will then be forced to pay child support, while becoming “peripheral servants without a stake in marriage or society”.

Men will be entrapped into fathering children for women in “bi-maternal” marriages and become economically enslaved. And all that’s stopping women from doing this to us right now are laws against same-sex marriage!

Progressive terminology morphed from "gay marriage" to "same-sex marriage" over the past five years because the feminist power-agenda is not attached to orientation. The feminist goal has always been to create an institution where any two women can marry each other, have children out of wedlock, and force individuals who cannot be part of the marriage to support it economically, with government as a statutory guarantor.

Alrighty then.

(Tip o’ the hat to +fan tai for bringing this wonderful bit of insanity to my attention.)

There are people who look at someone else’s success and find inspiration. They use successful examples as a road map, and edit out the parts that don’t apply to their particular situations.

On the other hand, there are people who look for unfair advantages when they hear about someone’s success story. They like to point out connections, money, special talents and other reasons why the success was possible.

More importantly, they point out these advantages to invalidate the success story or serve as excuse why they couldn’t do the same thing.

Do you know the kind of people I’m talking about?
