Disney Wild Africa Trek
While we were in Disney World, we decided it was time to do something we’d never done before. The Wild Africa Trek!

I can honestly say that this is one of the coolest things I've ever done. It was a three hour guided tour where we got to walk over the hippos and alligators, learn some swahili, get really close to some of the animals on the safari, and eat an African inspired lunch.

See our entire journey:

Five Reasons To Avoid Anti-Bacterial Soap
I have long believed that anti-bacterial soaps are not healthy and that people should avoid using them.  See what the FDA says about anti-bacterial, and 5 reasons to avoid them.

Getting Eggs The Fun Way
Here on the Goat Milk Stuff farm, we got a lot of snow this winter. A couple of months ago, it was particularly nasty.
There were 3-4 inches of snow that had frozen completely solid, a sheet of ice on top making it almost impossible to walk anywhere. Fortunately, the next day it snowed again, so we had another inch of snow on top for traction.
With the snow frozen solid, you could walk on top without breaking through. And as the kids discovered, you could ride your bikes without breaking through! They found this particularly handy when Mom sent them to do their farm chores. A chance to ride their bike to get the eggs? They weren’t going to pass that up!

Parenting Styles
During this podcast episode, I encourage you to study yourself as I talk about parenting styles.

Parenting styles are the “emotional climate” which characterizes your home and the manner in which you raise your children.  This differs from parenting practices, which are the specific steps you take to parent your child.

Love to hate paying TAXES? You'll love this!  The "Voice of American Youth," (ok I just made that up) also happens to be my firstborn, +Brett Jonas,  wrote and performed this parody that we can all relate to. Please +1, share, comment on and generally promote this video if you love to see HARD WORKING youth using their talents AND driving the AMERICAN ECONOMY through enterprise!   -Jim

Goat Milk Soap Dragon Blood
Dragon Blood is the limited edition soap scent for April, 2014. It has a rich, earthy, musky scent. And no, it's not actual dragon's blood. Dragon blood is a resin used to scent incense - and soap.

Cold Weather Seeds
With this insanely cold winter we’re had, I’ve been even more excited than usual to get back to gardening.  Gardening around here (zone 6) usually starts with my birthday.  My birthday is St. Patrick’s Day, so March 17th is when I always try to get my cold weather seeds planted.  It’s colder than normal this year, but we’re still going to go for it.

See step by step how we garden: http://goatmilkstuff.com/blog/2014/04/07/cold-weather-seeds/

Work Hard. Get Dirty. Use Good Soap.
Introduction
Goat Milk Stuff is the family business of the Jonas Family. We're made up of Jim (Dad), PJ (Mom), Brett (17), Colter (15), Emery (13), Fletcher (12), Greyden (11), Hewitt (9), Indigo (7), Jade (6).

We have our own herd of Alpine Dairy Goats that the boys milk twice daily. We use this healthy, raw milk to make our goat milk soap that is loved by many.

We'd love for you to like our page and get to know us better. We keep our facebook followers informed of all the new things and changes that we're making at GMS. We'd love to hear any thoughts you have on how we can improve Goat Milk Stuff.
