The bees have had a good year here at Manoir Camelia we have just taken our final honey harvest of 2015. Our 2 hives containing 120,000 bees have given us 74Kg of honey. (that's around 163lbs in old money).

A big thank you and happy new year from Gill and I to all our clients for your support in 2014. We have been lucky enough to have entertained clients from 9 different countries since we first opened our doors in May this year.
We have just been informed that Manoir Camélia has WON AN AWARD which we will receive in January 2015 (so we must be doing something right), but more about that later this month, meanwhile.
Happy New Year to you all.

We have bees here at the Manoir and each year produce our own honey for you to enjoy at breakfast. We have just harvested our 2014 Le Miel toutes Fleurs.
It is poured into jars straight from the beehive nothing added or taken away. The honey has not been pasteurised so it contains all the anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that nature and the bees intended it to have.

Our latest review -
"A beautiful and tranquil location. Manoir Camelia was a lovely place to stay and our room was superb, well furnished and extremely comfortable.
The standard was five star and breakfast was excellent! Our hosts, Steve and Gill were extremely attentive, friendly and helpful. We were only able to stay for one night but will not hesitate to stay there again, we hope it will not be too long before we can return!"
Keith.

This is our queen bee, without her we would not have a hive full of busy bees and so no delicious honey for our clients. (The green spot on her back is to make her easier to find amongst all the bees during hive inspections).

EVENING MARKETS ( MARCHÉS NOCTURNES)
During the summer there are a lot of evening markets. These really are a fun, economical and tasty way to enjoy an evening out. Simply turn up and grab one of the tables which are set up in the market squares of the villages. Market traders provide everything from wine, starters, cooked meals and deserts and each supply the appropriate plastic cups or cutlery.
Choose your meal and take it back to the table and enjoy dining al frescoe often with music by a local band or DJ. These evening markets are very popular with tourists and locals alike.
