+alexander ferguson No one is disputing Saban didn't recruit this player as other schools did. We're stating there was a process that occurred allowing this player to get an opportunity to play at UA...not the sole decision of Saban. The rules were clear and this player could not abide. Of course we all know he did a song and pony dance while at JUCO and prior to getting the nod at UA...who wouldn't go all out for what he or she wants?? This player was doomed because he couldn't keep up the pretense. Now we see the end result. Saban is not required to apologize for the player not fulfilling his obligations to make sure he remained at UA and playing ball, especially with the support given...that's the responsibility of the player.
Coach Saban isn't between a rock and a hard place. He's made his decision and so has the school. The player couldn't fulfill obligations to remain in school and to play ball. At last check Saban wore a coach's hat...he's not an attorney. He's made his decision as a coach. Also, why assume Saban needs to figure if the gf is/isn't fibbing...it's not his place to do so.
